• Strong STEM background – Bachelor’s Degree as well as practical experiences in Machine Learning, NLP, Deep Learning (Tensor flow), Statistical Modelling, Quantitative Analysis, Forecasting, Data Visualization
• 2-6 years of working experience as a data scientist or business data analyst, preferably in the financial services industry
• Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings
• Proficient in office automation tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, etc)
• Proficient in SQL.

• B.Sc in Computer Science or any other technology disciplines (e.g Engineering or Physics)
• 3 – 4 years of practical experience in software application development.
• Expertise and hands-on experience with web applications and programming languages/technologies such as Python, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, APIs, etc.
• Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) as it applies to Python and PHP.
• Strong knowledge of the Django framework is essential.
• Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle & MySQL).
• Strong experience in frontend development (UI & UX) using HTML and CSS, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functions and standards.
• Functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with Web Services (REST and SOAP) for API development.
• Knowledge of basic operations of Linux servers.
• Experience in using GIT Hub is an added advantage.
• Must know how to use an FTP client such as Filezilla, core FTP e.t.c.
• Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to software and the web in general.
• Good problem-solving and logical thinking skills (ability to transform business requirements into programmable solutions).
• Good Communication skills.
• Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple organizational units (multitenancy).
